2019 Pancake Breakfast and Spring Clean-up

Join us for our annual All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast and Spring Cleanup, Saturday April 27, 2019 from 9am to 3pm. Start with the AYCE Pancakes and sausage, juice, coffee, and tea, then join us in the gardens all around the Farm to clean up the flower beds and vegetable boxes.

Every year we hold the all you can eat pancake breakfast to welcome spring and lure our friends to the farm for good food and hope they will stay for the spring clean-up event after they eat. The volunteers have great fun making different animal and character shapes for the pancakes, and there will be sausage and OJ, coffee or tea as well. There will be items for sale that the Growers made and even some Hope Springs Farm t-shirts and hats. After you fill up on pancakes and sausages, please stay and help us clean out and mulch the flower beds that are everywhere on the Farm. There will be 15-20 cubic yards of mulch to be spread over lots of flower beds at the Farm. There are also about forty raised-bed vegetable boxes that need to be cleaned. Other work that needs done during the clean-up includes cleaning out weeds, dead stalks, and debris from the flower beds, composting blueberry and raspberry gardens, cleaning out animal stalls, cleaning the pastures, and more. The work completed by volunteers at the Spring Clean-up gives Growers the ability to continue their daily farm chores and adjust to the season change at the Farm.
